To bring out the best from the academic fraternity, AIRA facilitates an opportunity to compare their contribution with the peers and assesses the quality by the experts of the concerned field. If the members chose to compete to get the awards for their academic / research quality, they are expected to apply in the prescribed form through AIRA website. The Governing body of AIRA, after the scrutiny of the applications, selects the best academician / researcher and gives cash prize and felicitation to appreciate the quality of academic / research contribution.

AIRA shall have the following categories of members:

1. Life Members: Though who receive a Post Graduate Degree / Ph.D. Degree from a recognized university (M.A, M.Com, M.Sc, MCA, M.Tech, M.S, MBA, MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS, M.Phil and Ph.D).

2. Associate Members: Faculty Members/ Academicians/ Administrators/ Businessman's/ Industrialist from the various disciplines to be associate members.

3. Honorary Members: Persons who have rendered distinguished service to the cause of society benefit and Research Education/ Persons who have exhibited Excellence in Industries/ R & D organizations/ Persons who have contributed to social causes or philanthropists/ Retired Scientists/ Lecturers/ Teachers/ Professors/ Academicians/ Administrators/ Businessman's / Industrialists.

Membership Fee: Rs.1000 INR or $75 USD (other than India)
